Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic immobilized my social engagements, it has increased my awareness of my mortality as it relates to personal interaction. The risks based on the number of cases as well as deaths to those of us over 65 years of age who contract COVID have given way to stay-at-home requests without contact with those not living in our homes as well as setting special shopping hours in stores to protect us.
